Saurin R Popat, MD, FRCSC, FACS, MBA

Dr. Popat completed two year Head & Neck Surgical Oncology and Microvascular Reconstructive fellowship at the University of Toronto in 1999. In addition, he completed fellowship training in Skull Base and Craniofacial Surgery in Bern Switzerland. Dr. Popat is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons as well as the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

 

He served as director of the Head &Neck Service from 2000-2006 and program director of the Otolaryngology residency program at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Dr. Popat practiced at Roswell Park prior to joining the Delaware Medical Group where his specialties include Head & Neck Surgical Oncology, Skull Base Surgery, Surgical Oncology, Thyroid and Parathyroid surgery, and other diseases of the head and neck. In addition to his extensive clinical experience in these areas, Dr. Popat is widely published in peer review journals and textbooks. Dr. Popat is a member of the American Head and Neck Society as well as many other numerous associations. He enjoys educating younger physicians and has been awarded teacher of the year honors in the past. Dr. Popat was featured in an article in “Buffalo Spree” Best Doctors edition. To further improve the value of care, Dr. Popat completed a MBA from Cornell University.
